Summer Exhibition 2026
Tewkesbury Art Society hosted it’s usual Summer Art Exhibition, Commencing on Tuesday 14th July running through to Sunday 19th July. The Lord Mayor of Tewkesbury Town, Emma Ash, opened the event and congratulated the members on a very professional Exhibition. Members and their guests enjoyed a shared buffet lunch and the Exhibition was then open to the public.
The event was well attended by Tewkesbury residents and visitors to the town and exhibitors successfully sold a record number of pictures.
The three trophies awarded annually to members of the society are the Kershaw Cup, Summer Challenge Cup and The People’s Choice Cup. These were awarded as follows:
Kershaw Cup – as voted for by society members – Awarded to Janet Wescomb for her painting “Spirit”
Summer Challenge Cup – Judged by Rosemary Frith, Awarded to Sally Walton for her painting “The Last Goodbye”
Visitors Choice Cup – as voted for by visitors to the exhibition, awarded to Madeleine Jephcott for her painting “The Colour of Africa”
Overall the Exhibition was a great success, and we look forward to our Christmas Exhibition due to be held in Early December 2026.
